Dillons -$ 124.79 – ($81.47 coupons) – $ 43.32 OOP

Now - BEFORE you freak out – this was my freebie week.  Over the past couple of months I have been saving all my coupons for free things.  The last time I did freebie week was sometime this summer.  (Do you remember all those TV shows where someone goes in and buys $300 worth of groceries for $.25.  This is how they do it.  They save all the freebie coupons they get and then they make one huge shopping trip that looks awesome.) I get most of these from Vocalpoint, Pssst (General Mills) and Kraft.  I have registered with each company and they send me coupons for products that are new to the market.  Some of these coupons I have had to hold on to because our local Dillons did not carry the new product.  I also signed up with a new site to host parties for companies called “House Party” I was asked by Kraft to host a “DiGiorno’s Game Day Pizza Party” this coming Sunday.  I agreed and DiGiorno provided me with 6 FREE pizzas.  My guests will bring other snacks and dessert.  If you haven’t gone and signed up at House Party you need to go NOW!  As far as my weekly shopping trip goes this is a list of freebies, YoPlus Yogurt, 1/2 gal Chocolate milk, 5 StarKist Tuna Pouches, 2 bottles of Suave Shampoo, Little Debbie’s Cupcakes and 6 DiGiorno’s Pizzas. Each pizza was $6.99.  So, that would make $42 in free pizza.   I still have to run to Aldi this week and pick up some produce. ( Sorry about the picture quality.)  If I didn’t have coupons for these items I would not have purchased a single one of them.

How long do you hold on to your “freebie” coupons before they expire? Especially if you do this twice a year?

Some of the coupons I get for ‘freebies” don’t’ expire for at least 6 months. I will hold on to them usually until the month they expire unless the company needs me to fill out a survey for them. (PSSST from General Mills needs a survey filled out within a week or two) It also depends if I need that product right away or not.
