I am a little very late with my shopping trip post but, well you know, life happens.
I was really excited this week because I knew this was going to be one of those weeks that I was going to score some huge deals!
I had no idea.
First, on Sunday I went to Walgreens and picked up the Dove Shampoo/Conditioner deal and TP. I had to use some RR’s that were expiring and who doesn’t need TP?
Total at Walgreens $16.06 – 10.50 (coupons) = $5.56 OOP with $8.00 in RR’s for next trip
My weekly trip to Dillons… This week I spent more time concentrating on my list and matching coupons. This didn’t take away from family time since I did it while watching a movie with them.
Total $89.92 – $71.41 (coupons and rewards) = $18.41 OOP WOW!!
I think this is my new record! Now I am going to have to explain about my coupons and rewards…
I purchased all of this in 4 transactions. Yes, it took a lot of work and a great cashier (Thanks Ernie!) who knows what they are doing and a bag of goodies to keep Savvy Baby occupied.
On the first transaction I bought 6 of the Pillsbury Grands for $6.08 – $1.80 (coupons) = $4.28 OOP and received a $4.00 catalina for my next purchase.
Second transaction was 6 more Pillsbury Grands and 3 pouches of Betty Crocker Potatoes and 1 gallon of Milk for $12.58 – $9.80 (coupons) =$2.78 and received $7 in rewards for my next purchase. In this tranaction a $5.00 credit was redeemed. I won this $5.00 credit when I played the March into Savings Game on Dillons web site.
Third transaction was everything else for $64.95 – $55.31 (coupons) = $9.64 OOP!!! In this transaction I was able to use a $5 off any $50 purchase or more that I had received in the mail from Dillons and I used the $11 in rewards from the Betty Crocker and Pillsbury deals above. I have also been blessed to receive TONS of coupons this past TWO weeks in the mail for many FREE items. I posted a picture of everything that was free in the second picture.
The fourth transaction I had to go to another store since my regular Dillons was out of the Greek Yogurt. This store is right down the street from my kids school so I didn’t make an extra trip.
I will be heading to Aldi later to pick up some produce that they have on sale this week.
