Last week there was Internet buzz about the great full size samples that were being given away by First Taste. Many of us checked our First Taste offers only to be disappointed that there were none available. Well, I think you better go and check again. I went in this morning and there they were, just waiting for me. Make sure you fill out the surveys after you have tried the product. I have found that many companies will send you more products to try if they know you will answer a few questions for them.

This week was REALLY crazy for me. Yes, I know it’s only Tuesday. I wish it was Friday!
If anyone went shopping yesterday and heard a screaming baby in the store, well…ahhh … I guess I should apologize.
Savvy Baby was in one of those moods yesterday that made shopping extremely difficult.
I had to hit several stores because our local Dillons wasn’t having that great of a sale this week.
Here is a picture of what I was able to pick up. I noticed that after I took the picture that I had forgotten to place several items on the table. Oh well. Life will go on.
Missing – Cat food, 2 gallons of milk, canned veggies, secret ingredients for my homemade bread.
Total was $71.57 – $4.25 (coupons) = $67.32 OOP (I think)
That’s right folks OVER budget again! I think Savvy Hubby and I are going to have to revisit my household budget. We have a new addition to our house. Chance, a big huge fur ball!
Here’s Savvy baby kissing on him. We rescued this big boy from our local animal shelter. He had already been returned twice and was scheduled to go up to the Big Guy when I saw him. He has been one of the best cats we have ever had. He lets Savvy Baby pull him around by the tail and he even puts up with her lovin’ on him. What a great cat!
The kids are also eating a lot more since they are outside playing most of the day.

I wanted to share with you the secrets of obtaining free items.
I have sign up for these programs. What I love about them is that I don’t receive junk mail or spam from any of them.
Vocalpoint – Many times they send me a full size product with 10 high dollar coupons to use. Recently I was sent a coupon for a full size box of Kashi Cereal and a full size bottle of Pantene shampoo.
Pssst from General Mills- This company sends me full size food product that General Mills is introducing. I get to test many of these product and I usually fill out a quick 3-4 minute survey for them. Again I usually receive 10-12 high dollar coupons from the company.
When I mention high dollar I am referring to a coupons worth over $1.50.
Houseparty- I signed up with this company to host “parties” for companies trying to get the word out about their products. You have to agree to their terms and fill out surveys about how your party went. This is the site that gives me the most products. I have been very pleased with the parties. This is not the site for those of you who don’t like people in your house. Many times the companies have asked me to host parties where I can invite more than 20 people and I have also been ask to speak with the local media concerning the parties. If you are blogger or someone who has large gatherings in your house every month … this site is for you.
Be Patient- I also would encourage you to hold on to your coupons until your local stores run sales. Just because you have the inserts from Sunday’s paper does not mean you need to use them this week. Many time store run sales 3-4 week AFTER the coupon has come out. I pick up ALL of my pasta for free and many times I can get a few extras just be being patient.
