Over the past two weeks I have seen a rise in fraudulent coupon all around our small town. I was at the store last week and a cashier who did not know me (aka Scary Coupon Lady) pulled out a 12 page list of all the fraudulent coupons that have been circulating. After all my coupon checked out she apologize and began to scan each one. I told that there was no problem and I was glad she was checking things out. She then preceded to tell me that corp. has been cracking down on printed coupons and that cashiers are getting in trouble. While she scanning the coupons I asked to see her list so I could let you know which coupons are fake.
There are a couple of good rules to follow if you don’t know if a coupon is real or not.
If you answered yes to any of these question, you probably have a fraudulent coupon. If you ever have a question you can go to the Coupon Information Corporation. They have a list of coupons that are fake. I wanted to let you know that the stores are taking this very seriously and are threatening prosecution for those who print, email and use these coupons. If you think that they can’t track you think again, you know that little Shopper Loyalty card you use…
Just use a little common sense and print your coupons from the sites Savvy Shopping Moms links you to directly. Coupons.com, Redplum.com and Smartsoure.com are a few sites that are safe.
Shop safe and smart!

There are so many deal at Target right now, I am going to try and post them all at once. Let me know if you saw one that I missed.

This week was REALLY crazy for me. Yes, I know it’s only Tuesday. I wish it was Friday!
If anyone went shopping yesterday and heard a screaming baby in the store, well…ahhh … I guess I should apologize.
Savvy Baby was in one of those moods yesterday that made shopping extremely difficult.
I had to hit several stores because our local Dillons wasn’t having that great of a sale this week.
Here is a picture of what I was able to pick up. I noticed that after I took the picture that I had forgotten to place several items on the table. Oh well. Life will go on.
Missing – Cat food, 2 gallons of milk, canned veggies, secret ingredients for my homemade bread.
Total was $71.57 – $4.25 (coupons) = $67.32 OOP (I think)
That’s right folks OVER budget again! I think Savvy Hubby and I are going to have to revisit my household budget. We have a new addition to our house. Chance, a big huge fur ball!
Here’s Savvy baby kissing on him. We rescued this big boy from our local animal shelter. He had already been returned twice and was scheduled to go up to the Big Guy when I saw him. He has been one of the best cats we have ever had. He lets Savvy Baby pull him around by the tail and he even puts up with her lovin’ on him. What a great cat!
The kids are also eating a lot more since they are outside playing most of the day.
How are you doing? Are you finding any good deals out there? Let us know!
Good morning!
This week I was energetic enough to run to the store on Sunday afternoon while the rest of the family took naps after many, many eggs hunts. I was surprised that our local store was quiet. I did see a few last minute shoppers buying candy, eggs and huge stuffed bunnies.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend.
I have changed my menu planning around a bit to try and incorporate at least two nights every week that we will eat from the pantry. While I still have to shop for the other nights, I am also going to try and use the “Cook Once and Eat Twice” method more. With summer almost upon us, we will be spending more time at the park and pool and mom will forget to get something out for dinner. So I figure if I can start cooking my meat and freezing it in meal size portions, I will be able to pull together a meal in 30 minutes or less.
What do you do on those hot summer nights when you forget to plan ahead?
My shopping trip for the week looks like this,
Total $60.47 – $18.68 (coupons) = $41.79 OOP
I have some leftover from last week and this to take to Kmart to snag some deals with their Super Doubles Event. I will get pictures and total of what I was able to pickup.
